1. General information

SIA “VALTEG” is a company selling, replacing, disposing of car tires, wheels and related services, which primarily processes personal data of customers, partners, and its employees.

SIA “VALTEG”, registration number: 41203033715 , legal address: Talsi Municipality, Talsi, Andreja Pumpura iela 8-24, LV-3201 (hereinafter – VALTEG ), as the controller, when processing personal data shall comply with the requirements of the European Union and Parliament General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter – Regulation), as well as with other personal data protection laws in force in Latvia.

This Privacy Policy explains to customers how VALTEG processes personal data, both within the company and on the website www.talsuriepas.lv (hereinafter – Website), and informs about the processing of personal data by VALTEG.

2. Personal data processing stages and purposes

VALTEG collects personal data based on information provided by the customer (natural person) or its authorized representative on the Website – on the basis of consent or for the purposes of concluding and executing the contract.

VALTEG processes personal data on a variety of legal bases (depending on the purpose of the personal data processing), for example:

  • consent of the data subject;
  • preparation for concluding a sales contract, conclusion or performance of the contract objectives;
  • fulfilment of legal obligations imposed by the law;
  • securement of VALTEG legitimate interests.

Processing of personal data sent to the Website for the purpose of drawing up and executing a delivery transaction. To complete, process and execute a delivery transaction ordered from the internet store, VALTEG requires your name, surname, e-mail address and telephone, and, if you choose, the delivery address. Communication with the customer for executing the delivery transaction. VALTEG may contact you before delivery to complete the transaction or to transfer the information to the delivery companies. Collection of personal data of employees of legal entities as cooperation partners A legal entity may submit the name, surname and contact details of its employee for contacting about completion and execution of an order on the Website, or by sending a direct email to VALTEG. The processing of personal data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the controller in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation.
Communication with the customer To provide answers to questions sent through VALTEG contact form, the name of the person, email addresses and the wording of the question is required. The processing of personal data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the controller in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation, as well as the processing is carried out on the basis of the consent of the data subject.

Accounting records

 If a person pays for the transaction or arrives and pays for the goods in person, the identity of the person and payment data may be processed within the accounting framework. The processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of the statutory obligation in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) of the Regulation.
Processing of return of goods If a person wishes to return the purchased goods in conformity with the right of withdrawal or to return the product after the established deficiencies, VALTEG in accordance with the requirements of the law must obtain the person’s name, surname, identity code, product’s name, code. The processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of the statutory obligation in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) of the Regulation.

If a customer arrives at the place of VALTEG services in person, video surveillance for the prevention or detection of crime related to property protection and the protection of vital interests of persons, including life and health, shall be made at the entrance to the VALTEG service stand.

3. Duration of storage of personal data

VALTEG shall store personal data in conformity with the purposes of the processing of personal data and the legal basis for the processing of personal data specified in the internal regulatory enactments, if at least one of the following criteria exists:

  • VALTEG has a legal obligation to store the data;
  • VALTEG needs to realise its legitimate interests;
  • VALTEG needs to fulfil its contractual obligations.

VALTEG does not store order data for more than three years from the date of delivery of the goods.

If a person no longer wishes to place an order, VALTEG will delete such order details after receiving the order rejection.

Video recordings are stored for 30 days from the time of recording.

4. Recipients of VALTEG customer’s personal data

VALTEG customer’s personal data may be accessed by VALTEG employees, processors, subcontractors. VALTEG may use outsource services to ensure more efficient performance of its functions, including for the purposes of maintaining and operating the website.

Personal data shall not be transferred to third countries.

5. VALTEG customer’s right to access his or her personal data, other rights of the data subject

You have the right to access your personal data and to receive your own data collection, which is processed by VALTEG.

You also have the following other rights:

  • The right to request the deletion of your personal data
    For example, a request for the deletion of personal data is executed only if the processing of personal data has expired or there is no reason to process it.
  • Right to restrict processing of personal data
    You may ask to limit the processing of personal data for a limited period of time while the matter regarding your personal data is being examined. For example, you would like to object to the processing of personal data, but for the duration of the examination of the basis of the request, personal data will not be deleted.
  • The right to object to the processing of personal data
    The request to discontinue the processing of personal data for a specific purpose shall be granted if the processing of personal data is of legitimate interest and the interests of VALTEG do not outweigh your right to data protection.
  • The right to have your personal data corrected in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation
    If your provided personal data is inaccurate, the request to correct your personal data will be met if VALTEG can verify the correct personal data.

 

Upon request, we will provide an answer regarding your rights.

To obtain information about your personal data or to exercise other rights of the data subject, you must provide, at your option:

  • a written and signed application addressed to SIA “VALTEG” and sent (submitted) to the legal address of the controller. A reply will be sent by registered mail to the address given in the application.
  • an application signed with a secure electronic signature, addressed to SIA “VALTEG” and sent to the e-mail address: info@talsuriepas.lv. An electronic response will only be given if you have specified your email address to which you wish to receive an answer in the application itself, which is signed with a secure electronic signature.

You may also receive a response in person at VALTEG office (presenting your identity document) by prior arrangement.

If you feel that your right to the protection of personal data has been infringed, you may file a complaint with the personal data monitoring authority – the Data State Inspectorate.

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy

This document is effective from 16 October 2019.
VALTEG reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time, which are posted at www.talsuriepas.lv.
